If you have lost all of your natural teeth from periodontal disease, tooth decay or injury, complete dentures can be the right option for you. Replacing missing teeth will not only be beneficial to your appearance and smile but also to your health. Implant anchors can frequently be added to help support and anchor your existing dentures, which can greatly improve their retention.

Dr. DeWitt was presented with the award for removable prosthodontics in dental school. He enjoys creating smiles and functional appliances for those who need removable dentures. He is proficient at utilizing advances in implant technology to retain and support dentures.
Without support from the denture, facial muscles sag and the jaw bone thins out, making a person look older.

Full Denture

With full dentures, a flesh-colored acrylic base fits over your gums. The base of the upper denture covers the palate, while that or the lower denture is shaped like a horseshoe to accommodate your tongue.
A temporary denture is inserted when the remaining teeth are removed, so the denture wearer does not have to be without teeth during the healing period. A conventional complete denture is made and placed in the patient’s mouth after the tissues have healed.

Partial Denture

Partial dentures offer a removable alternative to bridges. A partial denture rests on a metal framework that gets attached to your natural teeth that are adjacent. Sometimes crowns are placed on some of your natural teeth and serve as anchors for the denture.
